The firm of Friedman and Perry, CPA's began January 1, 1987 and has established a reputation for providing the highest quality of personalized services. We provide a complete range of services that are customized to the needs of each client.
Philosophy
We believe it is important to maintain close contact with our clients and to establish a working relationship based on mutual trust and respect. As a client, we encourage you to meet with us frequently during the year and to use the firm as a sounding board for business and financial plans. Our goal is to work with you as a professional advisor providing you with solutions tailored to your specific needs.
Training
We are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. We are licensed by the State Board of Accountancy which requires us to participate in a rigorous, formal program of continuing professional education. All staff members are carefully selected and promoted on the basis of professional performance. On an ongoing basis, we provide extensive training for our staff.

Diane Mallory Perry, CPA, Partner

Diane has been engaged in the public accounting profession since 1974 and became a CPA in 1980. Diane graduated from San Jose State University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She joined The Accounting Offices of Beth A. Friedman in 1980 as a senior accountant. In January 1987, Diane became a partner in the firm Friedman and Perry, CPA's. In January 1997, Diane assumed sole responsibility for actively managing the partnership, so that Beth could spend her days sailing, even during tax season. Fifteen years later in January 2012, Diane has resumed the role of partner, sharing the responsibilities and benefits with her partner in crime, Becky. Diane is a member of the American Institute of CPA's, California Society of CPA's, Fremont Chamber of Commerce, Fremont Warm Springs Sunrise Rotary, Southern Alameda County Estate Planning Council, and the American Association of University Women. She enjoys traveling, gardening, and quilting when she has spare time. Diane lives in Fremont with her husband and two dogs. | |

Sharon Hughes, Executive Secretary
Sharon joined The Accounting Offices of Beth A. Friedman in August 1981 and has been providing clients with warm greetings and quality service ever since. Over the years she has trained more assistants than she cares to recall and now wishes she had written a book on her experiences in order to fund her retirement. Sharon celebrated her 30th anniversary with the firm in August 2011 and has become an irreplaceable part of Friedman & Perry, CPA's. The favorite part of her job is the frequent visitors to the office that stop by to chat at the front window. She has two children and five grandchildren that live in Fremont and Boston. Sharon lives in Fremont with her husband, but returns to Newport, Rhode Island once every year.

Becky began working for Friedman & Perry, CPA's in elementary school as the official stamper of dates on ALL documents. She has worked her way from date stamper, to filer, to her current status as the firm's newest CPA and partner. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Women's Studies. After successfully passing all 4 parts of the CPA examination in 2010, she received her license in July 2011. In January 2012, she stepped up to the role of partner alongside Diane (still with the condition that Diane is never allowed to retire). She is a member of the American Institute of CPA's, California Society of CPA's and Fremont Chamber of Commerce. She currently lives in Livermore with her husband, 2 dogs and 2 cats. | |

Julie also began working for Friedman & Perry, CPA’s at a very young age as the supply cabinet organizer. She then moved on to bigger things and spent 14 years working with animals in both Fremont and San Jose. After realizing that training accountants is just like training animals, Julie has returned to work with us again in the capacity of Office Manager. Julie’s educational background is in Business Administration while she was attending San Jose State University. In the hopes that Julie can be convinced to love the family business as much as her younger sister, there is always the possibility that she’ll advance within the firm. Julie lives in San Jose with her dog and cat. In her spare time she volunteers at OURPACK by helping with education, training and fostering of pitbulls.
