About Us

Organization

The firm of Friedman and Perry, CPA's began January 1, 1987 and has established a reputation for providing the highest quality of personalized services. We provide a complete range of services that are customized to the needs of each client. The first office of Friedman and Perry, CPA's was in Fremont, California. After spending 31 years in Fremont (at just two different locations!), the office relocated to Livermore, California in 2018. As the accounting industry progressed towards a remote working environment, the firm transititioned to being completely remote during 2020 and 2021. In 2021, both partners moved to Sisters, Oregon where they continue to provide CPA services for clients in California and beyond by offering virtual appointments and secure electronic file delivery. Friedman & Perry, CPA's is not currently accepting new clients, but we invite you to check back in the future, whether you live in California, Oregon or across the globe!

Philosophy

We believe it is important to maintain close contact with our clients and to establish a working relationship based on mutual trust and respect. As a client, we encourage you to meet with us frequently during the year and to use the firm as a sounding board for business and financial plans. Our goal is to work with you as a professional advisor providing you with solutions tailored to your specific needs.

Training

We are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. We are licensed by the State Board of Accountancy which requires us to participate in a rigorous, formal program of continuing professional education.

Our Team

Diane Mallory Perry, CPA, Partner

diane@friedmanperrycpas.com 510-794-7555

Diane has been engaged in the public accounting profession since 1974 and became a CPA in 1980. Diane graduated from San Jose State University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She joined The Accounting Offices of Beth A. Friedman in 1980 as a senior accountant. In January 1987, Diane became a partner in the firm Friedman and Perry, CPA's. In January 1997, Diane assumed sole responsibility for actively managing the partnership, so that Beth could spend her days sailing, even during tax season. Fifteen years later in January 2012, Diane has resumed the role of partner, sharing the responsibilities and benefits with Becky. Diane is a member of the American Institute of CPA's, California Society of CPA's, Fremont Morning Rotary, and the American Association of University Women. She enjoys traveling, gardening, and quilting when she has spare time. Diane moved to Sisters, Oregon in 2021, saying goodbye to her Fremont, California home of 42 years. She lives with her husband, dog and cat (Snoball, our resident office cat from Fremont!) and within walking distance of her grandchildren and Becky.

Becky Perry, CPA, Partner

becky@friedmanperrycpas.com 510-794-7555

Becky began working for Friedman & Perry, CPA's in elementary school as the official stamper of dates on ALL documents. She has worked her way from date stamper, to filer, to her current status as CPA and partner. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Women's Studies. After successfully passing all 4 parts of the CPA examination in 2010, she received her license in July 2011. In January 2012, she stepped up to the role of partner alongside Diane (still with the condition that Diane is never allowed to retire). She is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and California Society of CPA's. Her daughter, Mallory, was born in 2012 and her son, Cole, was born in 2014. Both are already being taught Accounting 101 by Grandma. Except during tax season, Becky is off every Friday. She moved from Livermore, California to Sisters, Oregon in 2021 along with her husband, daughter, son, 2 dogs and 2 cats. In her spare time, she loves quilting, gardening, reading and dreaming of expanding her homestead for more animals (whether that actually happens is to be determined).
